#3 Grammy's

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/02/09/grammys-2015-best-quotes-red-carpet-1

In honor of the Grammy's last week I thought it would only be appropriate to post something relating to them.  The event itself is always an entertaining thing to watch, but the red carpet is my favorite.   What I found most interesting about this article was how kids's got brought up with the business side of the equation.
I am a nanny on Tuesday's for two kids under the age of ten.  A couple months ago while playing "karaoke" the little girl and her friend decided they wanted to sing "Let it Go."  Not knowing who or where this song came from I just let it be.  Literally, that same week I heard the song again but this time was different.  It was coming from my twenty-seven year old cousin.  She then explained to me all about the movie Frozen and the great popularity that had everyone obsessed.
This relates to our classroom because in the pieces we look at a lot of time song is put into the picture.  The song is not just put in randomly, but defines a purpose when working with different figures.  For example, take Brecht for instance.  He makes it clear that music is made to comment on the piece NOT add on the piece.
